John Tuccillo serves as the Vice President of Global Industry and Legislative Initiatives of APC. In 2007, Schneider Electric acquired APC and formed the Critical Power & Cooling Services (CPCS) Business Unit, which includes the APC and MGE UPS Systems brands. The CPCS Business Unit reported revenue of $3.5 billion in 2007 and employs 12,000 people worldwide. Schneider Electric, with 112,000 employees and operations in 190 countries, had 2007 annual sales of $25 billion (€17.3 billion).
John is responsible for building collaborative technology and business alliances with key industry leaders as well as policy and standards bodies in the variety of markets served by APC. Prior to his current role, John served as Global Director of Data Center Systems where he led a team of systems engineers, application engineers, product management and marketing professionals focused on delivering interoperable infrastructure and management systems. John has 25 years experience within the IT and manufacturing industries working within the hardware, software, components and services categories.
