Rhode Island Energy Solutions Expo

The Rhode Island Energy Solutions Expo will feature kids activities throughout the day. At the "Kids Energy Carnival" you and your kids can:
It's never too early to learn how to make smart energy decisions!

What is electricity? Where does the electricity come from when you turn on your computer or flip the light switch? What kinds of energy do I use? Today, much of our energy sources can be traced back to fossil fuels, but there are other ways to get energy, such as from the wind, sun and water too!
At the Kid's Energy Carnival, we will help kids answer these questions and begin to think about how they use energy! Hand's-on activities will spark kid's interest in energy basics, how to conserve, reduce and reuse. Interactive displays will teach children about electricity, where it comes from, and how it is being used.
Also at the Expo, the winners of the "Energy Solutions of the Future" poster contest will be awarded and their posters will be on display! All it takes is paper, crayons and some creativity and maybe you could win! Click the link below for contest details, rules and entry form.
