Biography Research Interests

Gregory E. Paquette


Research Interests: diagnostic microbiology: clinical laboratory science education, laboratory management; professional licensure; biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

Current Research: Development of a state-wide epidemiologic surveillance program for antibiotic-resistant bacteria in collaboration with the Rhode Island Public Health Partnership for Infectious Disease Control; rapid diagnosis of sexually transmitted diseases, especially Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseriae gonorrhoeae and Human Papilloma Virus; development of Clinical Laboratory Science, Cytopathology, Biotechnology graduate programs, and undergraduate Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing programs.
