Development and Alumni
The Development
and Alumni Office is responsible for working with interested donors
and alumni to establish endowments, scholarships, or annual donations.
Also, because
CELS is such a small, close-knit community, we try to keep our former
students connected. Alumni could contact this office to catch up.

Give
to the College
Your charitable donation is an important
part of how the College is able to make a difference in the lives
of its students, conduct research, and provide services to the community.
Giving
to the College is also a wonderful way to give back to your alma
mater or support an issue of concern. You may designate your gift
to be used for a particular program or purpose or to be used at
the discretion of the Dean for the Colleges most pressing
needs
Scholarship
funds are a critical need and in short supply. Scholarships provide
important support to students and are a lasting and meaningful legacy.
Scholarships may be established to support study in a particular
discipline, to reward excellence, and to provide financial aid to
students in need. Your scholarship donation will change the lives
of students year after year.
Please
consider providing an annual gift, establishing an endowment or
scholarship in your name or to honor the memory of a family member
or friend, or including the College in your will or estate plans.
The
Alumni Family
Whether you graduated from the School of
Agriculture, Resource Development, or the College of the Environment
and Life Sciences, you are an important member of our distinguished
family of alumni and we want you to get connected and involved with
your college.
Let
us know where you are and what you are doing. We want to hear how
you have used your experience at URI. Perhaps your experiences can
help our current students. You could be a mentor, provide internships
opportunities, or connect our graduating students with employment.
Come
and visit us! There are many new things to see on the Kingston campus
and at East and Peckham farms. Please let us know if you are coming
to campus or just stop by and introduce yourself to Jeff Seemann,
our new Dean. His office is in Woodward Hall.
For
information or assistance, contact the Office of the Dean at CELS at (401)
874-2957 or at elissia@uri.edu.
