Professor Burkett's reserach interests include Bayesian econometrics and behavioral economics, with applications to topics including the environment, health, and international trade. He has held research positions at the Brookings Institution, the Economics Institute of Zagreb, Harvard University, and the University of London.
He is the executive director of the Institute for the Study of International Aspects of Competition and on the editorial board of Economic Change and Restructuring.
