Graduates of this program are well trained for jobs in both
the public and private sectors. In recent years, graduates have accepted policy
positions with state and national environmental agencies, technical positions
with natural resource conservation groups, marketing positions with firms that
produce or market natural resource commodities (such as seafood and aquaculture
products, lumber, and minerals), and management positions in companies in the food and recreation industries.
This program provides excellent training for students planning
to do graduate work in natural resource economics or management fields, and for students
planning to go to law school, with an interest in environmental law or international disputes
involving natural resources.
