The SimLab has a 1 gigabit connection to the Rhode Island Environmental Data Center (EDC) and the Laboratory for Terrestrial Remote Sensing (LTRS). The EDC and LTRS collect and maintain the geographical information systems (GIS) databases and satellite imagery for all of Rhode Island.
