Beginning June 1, 2003, the Atlantic
Ecology Division (AED) of the U.S.
EPA National Health and Environmental Effects Research Laboratory (NHEERL)
in Narragansett, RI, will support undergraduate students to conduct
research related to the AED's research priorities, listed below.
The fellows work jointly with scientists at the AED lab and with
their major professor at the home institution.
Undergraduate projects will be supported only at
the AED in the following areas:
Project 1: Bioavailability & Diagnostics--position
filled for FY2003

Depending upon federal budget availability, there
may be opportunities at the other NHEERL Ecological Divisions in
future years.
Non-duplication of Federal Work: Student
fellowship research must support but not duplicate EPA work
in progress. It is intended that the fellow will work in cooperation
with
an EPA
scientist on his/her individual research.
