July 1998 - November 2000

Sanctuary Director and Founder, Massachusetts Audubon Society, Oak Knoll Wildlife Sanctuary, Attleboro, Massachusetts

Raised over $1.5 million for endowment and renovations. Planned renovations to buildings with MAS staff and architect. Designed trail system. Worked with groups and citizens on environmental issues including research, speaking at public hearings, and working with the local governments. Planned educational programming and supervised education coordinator. Designed and taught summer graduate course for teachers: "Using the Natural World to Teach Science and Math". Participated in MAS committees including Biological Conservation Coordinating Committee. Participated in development of MAS Strategic Plan. Continued to build on partnerships developed before MAS received the sanctuary property.

September 1992 - July 1998

Director. Massachusetts Audubon Society, Attleboro Environmental Program, Attleboro, Massachusetts

Began new program in Attleboro under 5 year grant to bring MAS services to the community. Opened storefront office. Designed and taught programs for teachers under the state's education reform program PALMS. Hired education coordinator and volunteer coordinator. Developed partnerships with community groups including the Attleboro Museum, The Literacy Center, YMCA, Attleboro Land Trust, and others. Assisted community on environmental issues. Participated in the development of an Open Space and Recreation Plan for the city. Worked with other communities on open space.

December 1987 - August 1992 Sanctuary Director, Massachusetts Audubon Society, Stony Brook Nature Center, Norfolk, Massachusetts
Managed 250 acre wildlife sanctuary and education center. Grew staff from 2.3 positions to 4.3 positions, including two education coordinators and a volunteer coordinator. Communicated well with Mass. DEM staff, as over half the property was owned by the state but managed by MAS. Expanded programming of all kinds including school programming and public programming. Wrote several successful programmatic grants. Planned and raised funds for small building addition.
October 1986 - July 1987 Study and working tour of New Zealand and Australia including the following positions
