PLS442/542 – Advanced Turf Management
Spring 2004
Syllabus
Course Goals: The purpose of this class is to prepare students for occupations in the turf management industry. This class will attempt to synthesize information presented previously in related courses and expound upon the most pertinent material. As such, this class has a number of critical prerequisites and will deal with agronomy, plant breeding, plant pathology, entomology, plant physiology and business management.
All students are expected to attend class. Information found on tests will come directly from class notes and the text. While attendance is not taken, the notes you take in class are critical to your success in this class.
Because the textbook is optional, reading assignments will not be given. However, topics covered in class can be found in the book listed above and in any number of turfgrass texts. If you have a question, please feel free to ask it in class, seek me out or consult a turfgrass management textbook.

Excuses for not handing in an assignment include life threatening or severe injury and events not subject to rescheduling (a funeral). Documentation of the excused absence is required.
