I
manage the University of Rhode Island Biological Control Lab, where
our research focuses on classical biological control. Our current
projects include biological control of insect and weed problems
that are important in Southern New England: lily leaf beetle, hemlock
woolly adelgid, birch leafminer, Cypress spurge, purple loosestrife,
and common reed. I also coordinate surveys for introduced insects,
diseases, and weeds in Rhode Island for the USDA's Cooperative Agricultural
Pest Survey Program.
