Scenes from the Chinese Language Flagship Program

Student Services

URI Flagship Scholars benefit from the close-knit, small college feel of the Flagship program.  Flagship faculty and staff have an open-door policy and are always available to help, whether with language tutoring, career advice, critiquing of a resume or essay, or with the planning of a course of study.

Tutoring

Flagship Scholars are all matched with domain-specific tutors, with whom they work regularly.  Tutors are all native speakers of Mandarin Chinese, many of whom are graduate students in a field of study closely matching that of the Flagship Scholar.

Advising

Flagship program staff are available to help with resumes, career advice, and to meet with a student's major advisor to assure that a plan of study is carefully planned and integrated. Students should contact any of the faculty or staff to make an appointment or just stop by.
