Notice about post-graduation hometown news
The University will automatically distribute a link to our online list of graduates to the Rhode Island press, however, our out-of-state graduates are encouraged to submit the information to their own local/hometown newspapers.
Here is how to create your personalized press release:
- Link to http://www.uri.edu/news/commencement
- Complete the online search form
- What appears will be a list that includes records that match any of the fields submitted
- From this list, find and select your name for the official press release announcing your graduation from the University, including your degree/program information.
- Print this file and/or save it as a .pdf and email or snail-mail it to your hometown newspaper.
Although we cannot guarantee that the announcement will appear in your paper, we know that there generally is interest in this information on the part of hometown newspapers.
