Commencement at The University of Rhode Island

Eligibility

Graduate candidates eligible to march in the ceremonies include:

  • Those who have completed their degree requirements by August 2011, December 2011, or May 2012
  • Those who will have completed their course work during or before the spring 2012 semester and will have successfully defended their dissertations/theses (if required) by Friday, April 13, 2012
  • Those in programs with required internships who will have completed their course work during or before the spring 2012 semester; defended their dissertations/theses (if a dissertation or thesis is required) by Friday, April 13, 2012; and completed their internships by Thursday, September 15, 2012.

Undergraduate candidates eligible to march in the ceremonies include:

  • Those who have completed their degree requirements by December 2011 or May or August 2012.

Receipt of commencement information does not, in any way, constitute certification for graduation.
