The University of Rhode Island will celebrate the achievements of its students, and salute the accomplishments of distinguished citizens at its 128th commencement exercises on Saturday and Sunday, May 17-18, 2014. This website will be updated as details become available.
Saturday, May 17, 2014 - Thomas M. Ryan Center, Kingston Campus
12:15 p.m.: Candidates assemble in academic attire in designated areas.
1 p.m.: Commencement exercises begin.
Sunday, May 18, 2014 - Quadrangle, Kingston Campus
Noon: In preparation for the grand procession, bachelor's degree candidates assemble in academic attire on Lower College Road in areas designated for each academic college.
12:30 p.m.: Commencement exercises begin and run approximately 90 minutes. No individual undergraduate student degrees are presented during this ceremony.
Held either just before or after the main ceremony at different campus locations, this is a more intimate ceremony at which a student's name is announced and they cross the stage to receive their degree.
