Commencement at the Ryan Center

Rain or shine, the first part of the Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony on Sunday, May 19, will be held at the Ryan Center, followed by the each college ceremony at other locations.

Bachelor's degree candidates will each receive two guest tickets with the purchase of their academic regalia at the University Bookstore in the Memorial Union. While students may purchase regalia at University Spirit, these tickets must still be picked up at the University Bookstore.

Any guests in addition to the two permitted for each student should go directly to the college ceremony sites listed below for each of the Colleges. The 90-minute University-wide Commencement Ceremony will be simulcast to each of these indoor sites.

College Ceremony Sites:

  • College of Arts and Sciences, Ryan Center**
  • College of Business Administration, Keaney Gymnasium
  • College of the Environment and Life Sciences, Ryan Center**
  • College of Human Science and Services, Mackal Field House
  • College of Nursing, Fine Arts Center Recital Hall
  • College of Pharmacy, Edwards Auditorium
  • College of Engineering, Mackal Field House*, 9:30 a.m.
  • College of Continuing Education, 10 a.m.*

    • *These are held before the University-wide ceremony takes place. **While the Colleges of Arts and Sciences and the Environment and Life Sciences site is the Ryan Center, it is also where the main commencement ceremony will take place.

    For this ceremony, each bachelor's degree recipient received two tickets with the purchase of their academic regalia. Therefore, additional guests for these two colleges may go to Keaney Gymnasium or Mackal Field House where the main Commencement ceremony will be simulcast. AFTER the main ceremony has ended, all will return to the Ryan Center to see their students cross the stage and receive their degrees.
