4-H STAFF VOLUNTEER AWARDS It’s that time of year again to recognize the countless
hours of hard work and dedication that so many of the 4H volunteers put in
through out the year.
Please take a moment to nominate the 4H volunteer who you feel has done an
outstanding job for the 4H program. Choose the category that best fits the volunteer’s area of
excellence or propose your own category. 4H members, parents, leaders, and
volunteers are all encouraged to nominate the volunteer who has made a
difference in the 4H programs for RI. Write down all the reasons your nominee should be selected.
Some suggested categories are listed below. Outstanding volunteer with: A
4-H community club program (someone who
has done a great job recruiting volunteers and members, and
coordinating projects, activities and events, for a club encompassing a
particular area) A 4-H after school program
Citizenship and community service programs
Animal science programs
A program promoting diversity
A
youth skills development program (For
example, a 4-H volunteer who has a big impact on young people, training
them in a particular project, like career exploration or public speaking) A teen leadership development program
An
innovative 4-H program (new approach to
4-H) An
ability to bring new resources to 4-H (can
be someone from outside of 4-H) If you cannot find a category to
fit your nominee just give all the reasons why this person should be chosen
as an outstanding volunteer. Send
