Working Through Anxiety Group

Wednesdays 1:00-2:30pm & Friday 2:00-3:30pm

This group will help develop skills to help you:

  • Change the way you think when stressed,
  • Relax when you are tense, and
  • Overcome symptoms of anxiety.

 

Being Me: When a family member has an Addiction

Wednesday 3:00-4:30pm

This group is designed to:

  • Deepen your understanding of yourself,
  • Share the experiences that have had an impact on your life,
  • Explore how your current behavior relates to the past.
  • Make sense of your family’s interaction style, and
  • Help you develop healthier ways of coping.

Interpersonal Process

Tuesday 4:00-5:30pm (second group time to follow)

This group is designed to:

  • Allow you to experiment with different ways of interacting with others,
  • Develop new ways to cope with a wide range of challenges
  • Get direct feedback from peers and professionals,
  • Deepen your understanding of yourself, and
  • Build interpersonal skills and confidence.

Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer & Questioning Women’s Group

Wednesdays 7:00 PM (held at the URI Women’s Center)

This group is designed to provide a space for LBTQ women to:

  • Be themselves in a safe and welcoming environment
  • Receive support from each other and the group facilitators
  • Relax and have fun by playing games, eating pizza, watching movies, etc.
