Working Through Anxiety Group
Wednesdays 1:00-2:30pm & Friday 2:00-3:30pm
This group will help develop skills to help you:
- Change the way you think when stressed,
- Relax when you are tense, and
- Overcome symptoms of anxiety.
Being Me: When a family member has an Addiction
Wednesday 3:00-4:30pm
This group is designed to:
- Deepen your understanding of yourself,
- Share the experiences that have had an impact on your life,
- Explore how your current behavior relates to the past.
- Make sense of your family’s interaction style, and
- Help you develop healthier ways of coping.
Interpersonal Process
Tuesday 4:00-5:30pm (second group time to follow)
This group is designed to:
- Allow you to experiment with different ways of interacting with others,
- Develop new ways to cope with a wide range of challenges
- Get direct feedback from peers and professionals,
- Deepen your understanding of yourself, and
- Build interpersonal skills and confidence.
Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer & Questioning Women’s Group
Wednesdays 7:00 PM (held at the URI Women’s Center)
This group is designed to provide a space for LBTQ women to:
- Be themselves in a safe and welcoming environment
- Receive support from each other and the group facilitators
- Relax and have fun by playing games, eating pizza, watching movies, etc.
