Screening for Mental Health, Inc. - (formerly the National Mental Illness Screening Project) is a nonprofit organization developed to coordinate nationwide mental health screening programs and to ensure cooperation, professionalism, and accountability in mental illness screenings.
National Mental Health Association Resource Center - is a nationally recognized resource for information on mental illnesses and treatments, and referrals for local treatment services. To meet the needs of hundreds of thousands of information-seeking individuals, the Resource Center provides many services at no cost to the public.
American Psychological Association - Access information for parents, teens, the media and others about: Aging, AIDS, Children, Depression, Disabilities, Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexuals, Minorities, and violence.
American Psychiatric Association - Includes general information about mental illness and how to choose a psychiatrist. Also this site includes more links to information about resources for the public and community outreach programs.
The Student Counseling Virtual Pamphlet Collection - This website was put together by the Student Counseling Dept. at the University of Chicago. It offers many different pamphlets that can be read online concerning many different topics that are encountered in a college counseling setting.
