Welcome from the Director of Capital Planning & Design
Welcome to the office of Campus Planning and Design. The mission of Campus Planning and Design is to lead the university’s facility development to create a high quality environment that fosters learning, academic research, and a strong campus community. This is achieved through comprehensive master planning, professional space planning, expert project management, and exceptional architecture and landscape design. The office oversees the development of all four campuses of the University of Rhode Island. Our services include space planning, project feasibility studies, development of budgets & funding strategies, and management of building design. CP&D also assists the Office of Capital Projects with their implementation and construction management of projects. The office of Campus Planning and Design initiates the development of new university facilities projects, the renovation of existing facilities, and the enhancement and allocation of campus space.
