Research Interests
Dr. Lee's professional and research efforts have found expression in such diverse places as Korea, New Jersey, Texas, Saudi Arabia, and Rhode Island, where he has worked on projects dealing with ports, airport, canal, highway and transportation infrastructure and system for the Lyon Associates, TAMS Inc., New Jersey Department of Transportation (DOT), Texas DOT, Saudi Arabian Ministry of Communication, Korea Highway Corporation, Rhode Island DOT, Federal Highway Administration and US DOT. He has published over one hundred articles in such journals as ASCE Transportation Engineering, ASCE Materials Engineering, Transportation Research Record, ASTM Special Technical Publication, Australian Road Research Record and the ITE journal. He is a member of the National Civil Engineering Honor Society, XE, and has served as President of ASCE Rhode Island Chapter and as Chair of ASCE Bituminous Materials Committee. He is a professional engineer in Texas and Rhode Island, and he is a reviewer for the ASCE Transportation Engineering Journal, ASCE Materials Engineering Journal, Transportation Research Record, ASTM Special Technical Publication, Australian Road Research Record and the Canadian Civil Engineering Journal, etc. Prof. Lee's research interests focus on:

- Intelligent Transportation Infrastructure and System
- Smart Green Highway
Professor Lee serves as the Director of the Rhode Island Transportation Research center (RITRC)
