Research Interests
A registered professional engineer and certified hydrogeologist, as well as a member of the Phi Eta Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Societies, Dr. Urish has accomplished funded research for the National Science Foundation (NSF), National Oceanographic and Atmoshperic Administration (NOAA/Sea Grant), the Smithsonian Institution, the United States Department of Energy (USDOE), the United States Geological Survey (USGS), Santa Clara University, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM), and the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT).
His research interests are concentrated on:

- Groundwater Pollution
- Groundwater Exploration
