Dr. Veyera's research has been sponsored by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), Air Force Engineering and Services Center (AFESC/RDCM), National Science Foundation (NSF), Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), Office of Naval Research (ONR), Region One University Transportation Center (UTC), Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT), Science Applications, Inc. (SAIC) and the United States Geological Surbey (USGS). His rersearch interests include:
- Liquefaction of Saturated Soils
- Dynamic Behavior of Soils
- Unsaturated Soil Mechanics
- Marine Geomechanics
- Geosynthetics
- Experimental Geomechanics
Dr. Veyera currently serves at the Associate Dean of the College of Engineering.
