Dining Locations & Menus

Dining Services employs a registered and licensed dietitian who assists in preparing and analyzing our menu. All of our menus are analyzed for their nutritional content through a computerized nutritional program. With this program we can assist students with allergies or particular medical needs. Our Mouthful Menu Guide makes it convenient for students to choose vegetarian, vegan, and low- fat menu items.

Roger Williams Dining Hall serves lunch and dinner Monday through Thursday. This facility is designed as a food court where students are able to choose from a wide selection of popular items. At the Hot Wok the selection consists of shrimp, beef, chicken, or tofu, tacos, white rice and lo mein. Students choose their vegetables at the salad bar, bring them to the wok and then the chef will individually prepare the students meal from the choice of meats, tofu, sauces and oils available. The Pasta-bilities kiosk is popular for its selection of pasta, oils and four choices of sauces- all cooked to order. The remaining food court specialties are the Deli By Design area with a large selection of deli items, grilled cheese, soy dogs, and all-beef frankfurts, as well as The Rhody Market featuring a selection of popular entrees. The evening meal at Roger Williams Dining Hall continues with the cooked-to-order selections as well as adding a choice of carved meats such as turkey, roast beef, and baked Virginia ham. Cookies, frosted cakes, angel cakes, cheesecakes, and fruit squares are freshly baked in our own bake shop. There are nine varieties of soda, six varieties of milk (including Lactaid and Soy Milk), 13 varieties of juices, four varieties of sparkling waters and coffee and tea.

 

 

Butterfield Dining Hall serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday through Friday and brunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday. Breakfast consists or a wide variety or cereals, freshly baked pastries from our own Bakeshop along with bagels and breads. Eggs, pancakes, French toast, breakfast meats and potatoes are served on a regular basis. A special attraction at Butterfield Dining Hall is our Omelets cooked-to-order where students are able to choose from regular eggs, low fat eggs and egg whites along with a wide variety of fillings. This station along with a cook-your-own Belgian Waffle station is available throughout the day. Highlights of Butterfield dining include a pizza, an Italian pasta and Chinese entrée area, a kiosk of grilled chicken, vegetarian burgers and grilled cheese along with quesadillas cooked-to-order. The deli area prepares sandwiches from a wide array of meats, cheeses, and vegetarian items. “Home-Style” entrees complete the offerings with selections such as Roasted Turkey, macaroni and cheese and Chicken potpie. The soup and salad section offers freshly prepared soups including vegan selection and offers many popular salad items.
