Medication for the Needy Program   1-800-215-9001

This program assists low income Rhode Islanders and their physicians in accessing the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers' Assistance Programs that provide free or low cost medications. This program was established in response to the growing number of Rhode Island residents requiring financial assistance in paying for their essential prescription medications. The goals of the program are to assist individuals in obtaining help with their medication costs by providing advice, information and assessments.

Medication Information Hotline   1-800-287-5571

This is a toll-free resource for medication information. Staffed by pharmacists, this confidential service provides Rhode Islanders answers concerning medications and drug therapy in addition to responding to current health care issues.
