Students

Life at URI can be both exciting and challenging. At times, the opportunities on campus may have you eager to get involved and do well. Other times you may feel homesick, frustrated with classes, or uncomfortable with your living situation. It is important to work through these challenges so that you can focus on all the great opportunities at URI.

The goal of Early Alert Services is to help students succeed at URI. This includes everything from doing well in the classroom, involvement in campus life, being happy with your living/commuting situation, and knowing and using all of the resources available to you.

If you or someone you know is struggling with any of the following please contact our office:

  • College academics
  • Commuting
  • Time management
  • Struggling with the transition to URI
  • Not involved in any campus activities or organizations
  • Not going to class or skipping class frequently
  • Not studying
  • Not leaving their room
  • Unhappy or seem withdrawn
  • Home sick
  • Having personal issues
  • Dealing with a substance abuse concern
