President Robert L. Carothers speaks about
URI's EmergencyAlert system

2/15/08: Message from the President

The University of Rhode Island wants faculty, staff and students to know that all departments responsible for their safety and security work together to protect them against injury, fire and other threats and to ensure that the University continues its mission in a secure environment. We also want to be sure that families of our community members are familiar with the steps being taken to communicate with you in the event of an emergency.

If there is an emergency affecting the University community, whether you live on campus, down-the-line, or anywhere off-site you will be able to find the latest pre-recorded information at:

401-874-NEWS (6397) or (401) 874-7669. Or, check the URI home page at www.uri.edu.

Emergency notifications will also be emailed to all students, faculty and staff from the URI-Alert listserv as needed. To be added to either of these, please email a note to subscribe.
