Thera Expedition

Paris was foggy this
morning at 6:35 am and it seemed warm and humid in the airport. DeGaulle
airport was under major construction when I saw it last, but it is renovated,
open, and modern now. The usual summer crowds have not arrived yet, but
each flight has been a “full” flight so far. I am tired now
as we head for Athens and the 2nd leg of this trip. Will have a short
flight from Athens to Heraklion, Greece, be met by the Greek agent and
driven to the Endeavor at the harbor.
Onboard the RV Endeavor:
It appears that we will not be sailing tomorrow, but will stay in port
until Wednesday, April 26. I am curious to know if we will be able to
see much of Heraklion, but from what I can remember reading, it’s
a very commercialized port city.
Mrs. Donahue’s and Mrs. Finocchi’s students’ styrofoam
cups have made it so far, although they have been toted outside of my
duffel bag the entire time. I will be glad to give them over to the sea
and then return them in much different form to their owners. The children
have no clue what will be done with them yet.
