Using the most sensitive and technologically advanced Remote Operating Vehicles (ROV’s), the team produced a very detailed map of the shipwreck site. The high-resolution digital still and video imagery that was collected will be used to generate a high quality photomosaic (photographic mosaic) of one of the greatest American technological innovations of the 19th century.

The ROV’s, ARGUS and LITTLE HERCULES were the primary tools for this expedition. The expedition also used a satellite telecommunication link to broadcast streaming video feeds and answered questions from shore in real time.
