Chris Moon
With this experience I hope to encourage my students to discard the question "Why am I learning this?" from their vocabulary.

Christopher Alan Moon has been teaching for the past five years. In 1998 Chris completed a program of undergraduate study in Biology as well as Psychology. In May 2001, he received his Master's degree of Secondary Teaching from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, NE and became a certified teacher. He participates in several clubs including Save the Bay, Audubon Society of Rhode Island, Rhode Island Chess Association and Regal Reptiles. He is a member of the National Science Teacher Association and the Rhode Island Science Teacher Association. He is a judge in the Science Olympiad and coaches the Chess club.
Chris's objectives in this program are to become reacquainted with the scientific process and advance his knowledge of marine systems and technology. He has an interest in the area of ecological disasters impacting the Great Barrier Reef as well as the way in which species migrate with the currents of the ocean.
