Selected applicants will be involved in content authoring, web design and/or development-related projects. Specific tasks include:

  • Assist in coding secure scripts (both client-side and server-side) and creating database-driven web projects, using standard technologies such as XHTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, Javascript, etc.
  • Develop content and graphics using software tools such as Dreamweaver CS, Photoshop and CSS technology.
  • Assist in documenting features, technical specifications for applications and projects.
  • Assist in troubleshooting codes and compatibility issues among different browsers and platforms.

Internship Opportunity
The position(s) can also be used to fulfill internship requirements for prospective candidates. Mentorship from professional staff and senior student developer(s) to juniors is also a great part of this internship. The chosen candidate will develop live Web applications for his/her portfolios.

Qualifications:
Desired skills in the following:

  • Experience with XHTML, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Web editing software (such as Dreamweaver) and graphic editing software (such as Photoshop).
  • Basic programming skills using a scripting language (such as PHP or ASP, JSP, etc).
  • Knowledge of SQL and database design and how they interact with Web pages is also necessary as well as a strong aptitude for troubleshooting.
  • Good writing skills and motivation to learn new skills and technology.
  • Good working ethics.
