  • Initiating partnerships with URI departments to program, plan and execute the University’s 3 year Strategic Plan.
  • Enhancing organizational effectiveness and efficiencies by nurturing employee development, having a spirit of teamwork, cooperation, and open communication and improving customer awareness and satisfaction.

Facilities Services Employee Recognition Award

The Employee Recognition Award is given at each in-service by the Facilities Services Employee Council. The award is given to a person who not only performs their job, but also performs above and beyond their normal duties. They exhibit a good attitude, work ethic and superior customer service. URI Athletics, URI Bookstore, the University Club and local restaurants and business have generously donated gifts for the award recipients.

Any employee of the campus community can nominate someone from Facilities Services to receive this award. If you would like to nominate a Facilities Services employee, please fill out a nomination form. Send it to any Facilities Services Employee Council Representative (listed above; all mail can be sent to the recipient at the Sherman Building), or place it in the nomination box located at the Sherman Building break room.
