At the September 26 and October 31, 2005 meetings of the Curricular Affairs Committee the following matters were considered and are now presented to the Faculty Senate.

Informational Matters

A.  College of Arts and Sciences

Film Media Program


CHANGE:  Title for FLM 101 to “Introduction to Film Media.”

B.  College of Human Science and Services

Department of Textiles, Fashion Merchandising and Design

ADD:  TMD 355X Draping for Apparel Patternmaking and Design (3)
Application of draping techniques for apparel pattern making and design. Includes sloper development and draping in fashion. Creative laboratory processes from design to finished product.  (Lec. 2, Lab 2) Pre:  335 or permission of instructor.

C.  College of Nursing

CHANGE: Method of instruction for NUR 103 to “…(Lec. 3)” and prerequisite to “Pre: NUR, WNUR or permission of instructor.”

At the September 26, 2005 and October 31, 2005 meetings of the Curricular Affairs Committee and the October 28, 2005 meeting of the Graduate Council, the following matters were considered and are now presented to the Faculty Senate.

a.  Film Media Program

1)  CHANGE:  Title for FLM 401 to “Field Experience in Film Media.”

2)  CHANGE:  Title for FLM 495 to “Seminar in Film Media” and prerequisite to “Pre: 101 and 203 or permission of instructor.”

b.  College Writing Program

CHANGE:  Prerequisite for WRT 490 to “Pre: 360.”

B.  Curricular Matters Which Require Confirmation by the Faculty Senate

College of Arts and Sciences

College Writing Program

ADD:    WRT 484 Internship in Writing and Rhetoric (1-3)
Practice and direct supervision in workplace writing.  Placement options include community-based, governmental, technological, health services, military, educational and non-profit organizations. (Practicum).  Pre: 60 credit hours with a minimum of 12 in WRT, 2.5 GPA, and permission of faculty advisor.  May be repeated for a maximum of 6 credits. S/U only.
