As always, the schedule for confirming and/or updating copy in the URI Catalog coordinates with the deadlines and meetings of the CAC, Graduate Council, and Faculty Senate (http://www.uri.edu/facsen/Curricular_Deadlines_08-09). Please remember, however, that information submitted to the CAC, Graduate Council, and Faculty Senate does not constitute a catalog update. Catalog updates occur through a separate process, outlined below.

 

                        PLEASE NOTE THAT MOST DEADLINES ARE SIGNIFICANTLY LATER THIS YEAR; it is especially important that the copy provided be prompt, complete, clear, and final.

May 1         Due from department chairs to college deans: complete textual changes to descriptions of undergraduate minors (pp. 35-39) and majors (pp. 47-116), including changes to program requirements and faculty listings for degree programs.

 

FRONT MATTER

May 12       Due directly to Gigi Edwards: graduate front matter updates (pp. 117-124) and undergraduate front matter updates (pp. 3-46, excluding interdepartmental minors). You will receive an EMAIL reminder in early spring if you are responsible for any of this front matter text.

 

FACULTY DIRECTORY LISTINGS

May 22      Due from department chairs to Faculty Senate: faculty directory changes (pp. 297Ð328) submitted on official Faculty Senate forms. Please eliminate obsolete names besides adding new ones.

 

ADMINISTRATION, COMMITTEE DIRECTORIES

May 29       Due from deans and administrators to Gigi Edwards: changes to Administration (p. 298) and Visiting and Advisory Committee directories (pp. 326Ð328).
