At meeting No. 372 held September 7, 2001, the Graduate Council considered and approved the following curricular matters which are now submitted to the Faculty Senate for information or confirmation as indicated.

a. Temporary Course:

BIO 513X Functional Morphology of Animals (3) Advanced study of the biological role of animal design with critical evaluation of recent research in functional morphology. (Lec. 3) Pre: Graduate standing.

1. Temporary Course:

NUR 540X Designing and Evaluating Evidence-Based Health Care Programs (3) Prepares health care professional to use evidence-based methods for developing and evaluating programs in health care organizations. (Seminar) Pre: 505, its equivalent or permission of instructor.

GEO 582 (or NRS 582 or EVS 582) Innovative Subsurface Remediation Technologies (4) Innovative remediation technologies for treating contaminated groundwater and sediments: theory, applications, and limitations of selected methods. GEO 584 (or NRS 584 or EVS 584) Environmental Hydrogeology (4) Develop an understanding of the physico-chemical principles and fundamental relationships that describe the fate and transport of contaminants in the hydrologic system. GEO 601 (or EVS 601) Environmental Sciences Seminar (1) Guest speakers present the results of research in the field of environmental sciences with special focus on hydrologic environments. (Seminar)
