At meeting No. 399 held December 17, 2004, the Graduate Council considered and approved the following curricular matters which are now submitted to the Faculty Senate for information or confirmation as indicated.

           

I.      Matters of Information

 

      A      College of Nursing

               1.  Add (New temporary course):

 

NUR 553X Management of Fiscal/Operational Resources in Healthcare (3)  Fall 3 cr., Lec. Emphasizes translating and applying theories and models of finance, management, and nursing service administration to provide quality nursing care with responsible stewardship of fiscal resources in healthcare.

                              Add (New):

 

BCH 500 Principles and Techniques in Molecular Cloning (II, 2)  Current techniques and strategies in gene cloning, characterization, construction and expression in prokaryotes and eukaryotes.  Comprehensive knowledge and understanding necessary for gene cloning and vector construction emphasized (Lec. 2).  Pre:  BCH 437, or permission of instructor.
