Survey of ocean science concepts.
Investigation of marine issues that affect the environment. Ten hours
in the field. Integration of national science education standards and
inquiry based pedagogy. (Lec) Pre: CHM 100 and BIO 113 (or
equivalent). A semester of general geology (GEL 100 or 103) and at
least one college level math course are recommended.
OCG 508 Global Environmental Change
Education (3)
Survey of global environmental change
issues focusing on environmental systems, related ocean science
topics, and local marine and coastal environments. Integration of
national science education standards and inquiry based pedagogy.
