On December 16, 2010, the Faculty Senate adopted the following resolution to thank Professor Stephen K Swallow for his service:

Be It Resolved that the Faculty Senate thanks Stephen Swallow for his two and a half years of service on the Executive Committee, including one and a half years as chair.  Steve has shown his devotion to URI through service.  He has worked very hard on matters of importance to the URI community and is an example of how service by faculty members is necessary if we are to participate in shared governance, which he so strongly believes in.
