Revised General Education Program
(2001)
The University College and General Education Committee considered
the following matters at their meeting of March 4, 2004. They are now
presented to the Faculty Senate for confirmation.
I. Fine Arts and Literature Core Area (A)
The UCGE Committee recommends that the Faculty Senate approve the
following courses for the (A) area of the revised General Education
Program (2001), including the assignment of the Diversity
designation:
1) ENG 251 British Literature I (examining human
differences, reading complex texts, writing effectively) Diversity
2) ENG 304 Film Genres (examining human differences, reading
complex texts, writing effectively) Diversity
3) THE 351 Principles and Theories of Theatrical Costuming I
(examining human differences, writing effectively, using qualitative
data) Diversity
4) THE 352 Principles and Theories of Theatrical Costuming II
(examining human differences, writing effectively, using qualitative
data) Diversity
II. Foreign Language/Cross-cultural
Competence (FC)
The UCGE Committee recommends that the Faculty Senate approve the
following courses for the (FC) area of the revised General Education
Program (2001), including the assignment of the Diversity
designation:

The UCGE Committee recommends that the Faculty Senate approve the

The UCGE Committee recommends that the Faculty Senate approve the
