University College and General Education

Report #10-11--2

On November 4, 2010 the University College and General Education Committee approved the following matters, which are now presented to the Faculty Senate for confirmation.

I. Fine Arts and Literature

The UCGE Committee recommends that the Faculty Senate approve the following courses for the Fine Arts and Literature (A) core area of the General Education program:

ENG 245 Introduction to Film Decades (read complex texts, write effectively, examine human differences)

II. Letters (L) Core Area

The UCGE Committee recommends that the Faculty Senate approve the following course for the Letters (L) core area of the General Education program:

WMS 325 International Women's Issues (read complex texts, write effectively, examine human differences, use of qualitative data)
