TEMPORARY COURSE NEWSLETTER

The following temporary courses have been proposed this month:
BIO 413X Functional Morphology of Animals (3)
Investigation of the biological role of animal design with emphasis
on vertebrates: running, swimming, flying, feeding, echolocation.
(Lec. 3) Pre: 204 or 466 recommended. APPROVED
BIO 513X Functional Morphology of Animals (3) Advanced study of
the biological role of animal design with critical evaluation of
recent research in functional morphology. (Lec. 3) Pre: graduate
standing. APPROVED
CLA 495X Directed Study (1-6) Individual readings and research in
some aspect of Greek or Roman culture and civilization (Independent
Study). APPROVED
HDF 380X Field Experience in Community Agencies (6-12) Supervised
experience in community agencies. The experience will be defined by a
job description and learning contract approved by the course
instructor, relevant agency supervisor, and the student during the
semester prior to enrolling in the course. (Practicum) Pre:
concurrent enrollment in 381, junior standing and permission of
instructor. S/U only. APPROVED
MAF 494X Cases in Marine Policy (3) Direct experience in problem
solving and decision making related to issues such as port
development, fisheries management, and coastal development. (Seminar)
Pre: permission of instructor.

The TEMPORARY COURSE NEWSLETTER is distributed on the last
weekday of each month, as required, throughout the calendar year.
Proposed temporary courses received by the 25th of the month will be
printed in that month's edition of the TEMPORARY COURSE
NEWSLETTER.
