TEMPORARY COURSE NEWSLETTER

The following temporary courses have been proposed this month:

BIO 503X Advanced Topics in Evolution (3)

Survey course lectures coupled with graduate level readings and discussion of current topics in evolutionary biology. Library research, oral presentations and group discussions. (Lectures are the same as those for 350). (Lec. 3, Seminar 1) Pre: graduate standing in a life science program required.

PEX 278X Physical Activity, Diversity, & Society (3)

Introduction to the multiple ways in which issues of cultural diversity integrally and unavoidably shape, and are shaped by, physical activity in American society (Lec.3) APPROVED

TMD 368X Quilt Culture and Creation (3)

Historic and contemporary quilts in social, cultural and artistic contexts. Styles, materials, techniques introduced. Creation of a quilted object (bed cover, hanging, apparel, accessory). (Lec. 2, Lab. 2) Pre: ART 101 and 103, 325, 335, or permission of instructor. APPROVED

The TEMPORARY COURSE NEWSLETTER is distributed on the last weekday of each month, as required, throughout the calendar year. Proposed temporary courses received by the 25th of the month will be printed in that month's edition of the TEMPORARY COURSE NEWSLETTER.
