Introduction to basic evolutionary processes and patterns in extant populations and the fossil record, including patterns of variation, natural selection, gene flow, genetic drift, speciation, diversification above the species level. Prepares early childhood professionals to implement the RI Early Learning Standards in their work with children and families in various early care and education settings (Lec. 2) S/U only APPROVED.
