The following temporary courses have been
proposed this month:
APS 555X Quality
in Medication Use (3)
Examines issues involving the quality in use
of medications, from the perspective of both the patient and
provider. Specific topics include drug misuse, overuse and under-use;
and the application of quality improvement theory. (Lec. 3) Pre:
graduate student status or 4th year status in the Pharm.D. program.

COM 321X Communication in
Interviewing (3)
Theory and practice of interviewing in various
settings. Verbal and nonverbal components, human diversity,
professional ethics, and confidentially will be addressed.
Implementation of interviewing types and written summaries required.
(Lec. 3) Pre: 103. APPROVED
MUS 290X University Pep Band
(0-1)
Rehearsal and performance of a wide variety of
rock, jazz, rhythm and blues, marches, popular and other contemporary
music for home and away URI basketball games. (Rehearsal 2) May be
repeated. Pre: audition and permission of instructor. APPROVED

NEWSLETTER is distributed on the last weekday of each month, as
required, throughout the calendar year. Proposed temporary courses
received by the 25th of the month will be printed in that month's
edition of the TEMPORARY COURSE NEWSLETTER.
