The following temporary courses have been proposed this month:

BIO 412X Evolution and Diversity of Fishes (3)
Origin, evolution and diversification of fishes, their phylogenetic relationships, and morphological, physiological, ecological and behavioral adaptations in marine and freshwater habitats. (Lec. 3) Pre: 101, 102, 366 or permission of instructor. Not for graduate credit. APPROVED

BIO 512X Evolution and Diversity of Fishes (4)
Origin, evolution and diversification of fishes, their phylogenetic relationships, and morphological, physiological, ecological and behavioral adaptations in marine and freshwater habitats. Discussions will include critical evaluation of the primary literature. (Sem.) Pre: 101, 102, 366 or permission of instructor.   APPROVED

BIO 480X Community Ecology (3)
This course will explore the field of community ecology, including succession, niche theory, and island biogeography through lecture, case studies, and discussion. (Lec. 3) Pre: 101, 102, and 262 or permission of instructor. Not for graduate credit.  APPROVED

BIO 580X Community Ecology (3)
This course will explore the field of community ecology, including succession, niche theory, and island biogeography through lecture, case studies, and discussion. (Lec. 3) Pre: 101, 102, and 262 or permission of instructor. APPROVED

PHP 565X Systematic Literature Review and Meta-Analysis (3)
Systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses are used to evaluate efficacy and safety of drugs, develop practice guidelines and plan formularies. Students will learn both methodologies. This three credit course will meet twice a week, and include lectures, discussions, and hands on experience with computer software. (Lec. 3) Pre: 540 or permission of instructor.  APPROVED

edition of the TEMPORARY COURSE NEWSLETTER.
