AVS 340X Veterinary Pharmacology (3)
Principles if veterinary pharmacology and its practical application in animals including pharmacokinetics, terminology, prescription writing, drug classifications, indications for drug use and methods of administration in animals. (Lec. 3) Pre: credit or concurrent enrollment in 331 or 333.  WITHDRAWN

BPS 334X Pharmacology and Medicinal Chemistry of Cardiovascular and Renal Drugs (2)
Mechanism of action, adverse effects, and therapeutic applications of drugs affecting cardiovascular and renal function. (Lec. 2) Pre: Doctor of Pharmacy professional student in good standing; or permission of instructor.  APPROVED

CHE 564X Reaction Engineering (3)
Homogeneous and heterogeneous reactions in reactor models. Kinetics of multiple reactions. Industrial reactor analysis.  Mechanistic models of catalytic reactors. Mathematical methods for calculation of reactor performance. (Lec. 3) Pre: CHE Graduate standing or permission of instructor. APPROVED

EEC 350X Energy Economics, Environment and Policy (3)
This course examines energy markets and related environ mental and policy issues from an economics perspective. Demand management and alternative renewable and non-renewable energy options will be covered. (Lec. 3) Pre: 205 or equivalent.  APPROVED
 
NRS 486X Science and Mathematics Investigative Learning Experience (3)
Science and Mathematics Investigative Learning Experience (SMILE) teaches elementary school students about environment science. URI students design and teach an environmental science inquiry at Alton Jones Campus. Not for graduate credit. APPROVED
