The following temporary courses have been proposed this month:

BCH 191X Issues in Biotechnology (3)

Overview of biological life and all current developments in biotechnology, including Agricultural, Medical, and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Cancer Biology, Forensics, Bioweapons, Biofuels, and other current topics. (online) WITHDRAWN

 

GEO 920X Geoscience Workshop for Teachers (1-3)

Current issues in Geosciences. Specific topics offered for in-service teachers and administrators. May be repeated with different topic. (Workshop/Online) Pre: teacher certification.  Topic for Spring 2012: Global Warming  APPROVED

KIN 444X Selected Topics in Cardiology (3)

Designed to provide an understanding of the structural and functional pathophysiological mechanisms underlying specific disease states. Selected current articles in each topic area will be expected. Content and approach will help students understand how basic scientific research findings enhance clinical practices in cardiology (Lec. 3) Pre: anatomy and physiology.  Not for graduate credit.  REPOSTED IN DECEMBER FOR GRADUATE CREDIT

The Temporary Course Newsletter is distributed on the last weekday of each month, as required, throughout the calendar year. Proposed temporary courses received by the 25th of the month will be printed in that month's edition of the Temporary Course Newsletter.
