The following temporary courses have been proposed this month:

 

BCH 211X Biochemical Aspects of Nutrition and Physiology (3)

Chemistry of biological transformations in the cell.  Chemistry of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, enzymes, vitamins and hormones integrated into a general discussion of energy-yielding and biosynthetic reactions in the cell. (Lec. 3) Pre: one year of college biology and one year of chemistry including CHM124. APPROVED

 

CHE 473X (or MCE 473X) Nuclear Fuel Cycle and Performance (3)

Analysis and design of stages of the nuclear fuel cycle including mining, milling, conversion, enrichment, fuel fabrication, fuel burn-up, spent fuel interim storage, reprocessing, and aspects of high level waste. (Lec. 3)  Pre: MTH 244 and MCE 341 or CHE 313, or permission of instructor. Not for graduate credit. APPROVED

The TEMPORARY COURSE NEWSLETTER is distributed on the last weekday of each month, as required, throughout the calendar year.  Proposed temporary courses received by the 25th of the month will be printed in that month's edition of the TEMPORARYCOURSE NEWSLETTER.
