Temporary Course Newsletter

The following temporary courses have been proposed this month:

MAF 340X/SOC 340X Environmental Sociology (3 crs.)
This course will review how human societies interact with the environment, how these interactions lead to ecological and social problems, and how society generates solutions to environmental issues. (Lec. 3) Pre: SOC 100 or permission of instructor.

 

PLS 395X Agroecology and Global Food Systems (3 crs.)
Agricultural production, food expectations, environmental safeguards, food safety and producer viability continue to grow more complex in a global economy. The student will explore and integrate ecological principals to global system changes. (Lec. 3)



Faculty members who wish to register comments have seven days to contact Susan Brand, Chairperson, Curricular Affairs Committee at susant@uri.edu or 4-2426.

The Temporary Course Newsletter is distributed on the last weekday of each month, as required, throughout the calendar year. Proposed temporary courses received by the 25th of the month will be printed in that month's edition of the Temporary Course Newsletter.
