international nutrition, obesity and weight control.
Teaching: Human nutrition, clinical nutrition, methods of nutrition
assessment.
Experience in mentoring graduate and undergraduate student research
projects, working with a multidisciplinary Health Promotion Partnership
on behavior change to improve health and control body weight, and
teaching pharmacy and medical students. Previous international
experience included five years in South East Asia, and less extensive
time in nutrition-related work in Brazil, West Africa, and the
Azores.

poverty, hunger, and malnutrition; the effects of participation in nutritional
assistance programs on family and child well-being.
